Multifamily Housing Project Manager

 

Klosh Group is seeking a multifamily housing-focused project manager with excellent project and time management and organization skills. A successful candidate will have at least three years of project management experience in multifamily housing development or construction and will add value to the firm with their procedural knowledge and company organization. You will be provided the opportunity to tackle strategic projects and collaborate with finance, operations, and marketing departments. 

As a Klosh project manager, you will be responsible for several multifamily projects of moderate scope. You will build out the projects’ budgets, schedules, and operational plans and guide project coordinators. As a team leader, you must be personable and professional, have good written and verbal communications skills, and enjoy working in a team environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the project, including the budget, schedule, operational needs, process, client needs, quality control requirements, and reporting team members

  • Lead the team through all aspects of pre-design, design, construction, and post-occupancy project phases

  • Communicate the project’s plan, change requests, risks, and status with the project and client team

  • Oversee project documentation

  • Develop contract scopes of work, solicitations, proposals, and responses

  • Analyze project data to identify and resolve gaps or inefficiencies, manage budget documentation, move the schedule forward, and review contracts to ensure stakeholder alignment

  • Conduct presentations for community organizations, advisory groups, steering committees, authorities with jurisdiction, and client stakeholders

  • Promote adherence to company and industry safety standards and safe and ethical culture in our work

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

  • At least three years of project management experience in multifamily housing

  • Intermediate or advanced skills with Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat

  • A current, valid driver’s license and safe driving record with the ability to travel throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, active listening skills, and capable of building and maintaining collaborative relationships

  • A well-developed ability to stay organized, problem solve, keep records, and manage multiple competing deadlines

  • Strong, active listening skills and the ability to provide clear instructions

  • The ability to make timely and thoughtful decisions while balancing various deadlines and self-direct according to the planned schedule

Preferred Experience

  • At least five years of experience in commercial construction

  • Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet, and experience with Deltek Vantagepoint

  • Professional licensure in architecture, engineering, or related field, or CCM, PMP, or other relevant certification

  • Thorough understanding of the materials, methods, techniques, tools, and trades involved in the construction industry, and the ability to comprehend construction documents

  • Knowledge and understanding of construction practices, including contract management, AIA documentation, contract law, project controls, project safety, and building support systems

  • Base pay range for this position is $100,000-130,000
